GL502 Lag Spikes out of nowhere

Hey guys, I have an Asus ROG GL502 with the following specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700HQ
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060
SSD: Sandisk SD8SNAT128G1002 128GB
HDD: HGST Travelstar 7K1000 2.5" 1TB
RAM: Micron 8ATF1G64HZ-2G3B1 Samsung M471A1K43BB0-CPB 16GB

I have been using this laptop for the past 3 years, and it has performed up to my expectations in every single game. However, last Friday some issues started to pop up. First, I woke up and was unable to boot up my Laptop, and the charging light was not lighting up when plugged in. After a few, Hours, I was able to boot up once again. However, the battery would not budge and stayed at around 78%. A quick battery report shows that my battery's full capacity is around half of what it is designed to handle. The battery level has been stuck at 80% ever since and does not react to charging. I also updated ROG game center to a newer version. Prior to last Friday, I had no such issues with FPS, everything ran as smooth as silk.

But now comes the main problem: My games such as Forza Horizon 4, Overwatch, SWTOR act as if normal and all run at my cap, which is 60 FPS. However, out of nowhere, my FPS drops down to 20fps for a split second before bouncing back up. at first, I suspected it was my Graphics driver, so I downloaded the one Provided on Asus support site. The problems continued, so I tried the following:
-Went to Nvidia control panel and set it to Maximum power (forgot what the exact setting is called)
-Prevent Intel from overclocking my CPU by underpowering it
-Tested using https://www.userbenchmark.com/ , which sowed that my GPU was not underperforming

The problems still continued and I also noticed that MY CPU is always at 100 Degrees Celcius when gaming

I have attached a few photos of the things I mentioned in the Imgur album below. What are my next steps? Should I replace my battery or take it to a service center?
