Gaming Laptop ROG GL552VW vs Alienware 15

I am comparing the two main camp of gaming laptop.

Alienware 15 R2 (http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-15-r2/pd)
Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ (Quad-Core, 6MB Cache, up to 3.5GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
15.6 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Anti-Glare 220-nits Display
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970M with 3GB GDDR5
8 GB Dual Channel DDR4 at 2133MHz (4GBx2)
8-cell Lithium Ion (92 Wh) Battery

ASUS ROG GL552VW (http://store.asus.com/us/item/201510AM170008065/A18486)
Intel® Core™ i7 6700HQ
15.6" IPS FHD (1920x1080) matte
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M with 4G GDDR5 VRAM
16 GB DDR4 2133 MHz SDRAM
4Cells 3200 mAh (48 Whrs)

Price of Dell $1550 ASUS $1300

However, one of my concern is the battery life.
Dell claims to have 5-6 hours on gaming, and 10 hours on web browsing, do you believe it?
Asus claims to have 4 hours on gaming, and what do you guys have on web browsing?

On the other hand, do you know if ASUS ROG has one fan or dual fans??

I wanna play GTA V on Max/ Med, which one, do you think is better?

between those to models I would choose the Alienware , in fact I would never buy a GL 552, but I would buy a G752

Any thing wrong with the GL552?

Out of those two, take the Alienware.
The ROG one has a single fan.

These 2 machines are not comparable at all. It's more correct to compare the Alienware to a G751/G752 but even then the Alienware might have an advantage.

I don't know about battery life - if you're serious about a gaming notebook, battery life on a massive 17 inch notebook is a bit of a joke. Still, it'll last a few good hours - I can get 3 hours of gaming out of my G751.

Thanks for the info, but is it the comparison of GTX 970M 3GB vs GTX 960M 4GB??
Because someone from Xoticpc told me that there're just few fps difference between the two cards.

It is bul**** ..... GTX960M with 4/6/8/GB ram 😄 can never be equal with GTX970M ....
The bigger difference is size bus. 128bit vs192bit..... The bigger bus is better. Ram size is not so important.

No, there's just too many things that are better for the Alienware, it's not even the same game, even if their tech specs were the same, which they're not.

I must agree the gpu in alienware, as least in that model is better, even by a bit.
But in fact, it is 1-2 hundreds bucks more. In terms of cost-performance ratio, which is better?
And ASUS's one has more ram.

And to be more clear, I want it to run GTA 5 on high to Ultra. and AutoCAD.
WIll it be a big difference in performance?

Looking at the diagram posted above, then yes - the difference with running GTA on a GTX960m vs a 970m should be noticeable.

BUT, taking a look at this video would suggest that it will be perfectly playable
