G814JIR : Keyboard stops working randomly

Hi,

I bought a ASUS ROG Strix G18 G814JIR-N6003W laptop about a year back. After about a month or so, I noticed that the keyboard would stop working randomly every few hours or so. Sometimes, it would recover on its own, and sometimes I would have to reboot the laptop to make the keyboard work again (especially when I did not have the luxury of time to wait for it to recover).

It has a few other problems as well, but this problem with the keyboard is the most serious.

I have largely put up with it so far. I use the laptop pretty much all the time so sending it away for "repair" would be vastly disruptive and I would like to take that path as the last resort.

Is this something which is solvable via any software update or troubleshooting ?

Hey. Do you have any solutions? its started to happening for me to 1 week ago... i cant fix it. my ESC and 2 button gone... sometimes its working if i use the buttons around them but mostly not working..  😞

I do not have any solution. If I had, I would not have posted the message I posted. I was rather hoping I would get some sort of advice here, but no joy so far.
