I own a g75 DS72, and it has been trouble since the day i bought it. For the long story read this: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?26339-G75VW-DS72-A-Major-Mistake&country=&status=

Short Version; Screen Broken, Warranty, Missing for a 1.5 months, Comes back More Broken (Keyboard back-lighting broken, AC cord split, case pieces missing), Replacement Promised, Warranty, Goes missing at service center, returns more broken (Hard Drive Failure, + all other problems). Replacement Not Covered by Warranty with customer service hanging up on me, Spirit Broken, Warranty, Goes Missing, Returns with all the problems fixed expect the screen, Starts Credit card Dispute, Wins in 2 months, Fixed Screen flicker Myself, They also didn't repartition the Drives (Recovery gone, testing software all over windows, Windows installed on wrong drive) which I also had to fix.

AND NOW I decided to see how the cooling (which is supposed to be great) works. 60 seconds of Prime 95 version 27.9, 85C and climbing.

*FACE PALM*

Is there anything they didn't do wrong? I bet the heat-sink is probably not set correctly, or they forgot the thermal Paste/Pads Knowing the warranty's center now legendary stupidity.

Sounds like it to me....lol. That is a nightmare if it is all true. My Asus G55vw has been great, not one single issue. Well... other then the fact it has Windows 8 anyways. :(. LOL

Although I can see your frustration in dealing with the service center, I fail to see how it justifies the fake alert about G75 cooling. Frankly, it makes you a lot less reliable as a witness concerning your other threads.
It is clear that you wish to harm the company and trolling the forum is your method, but try and keep it all in one thread instead of wasting everyone else's time by luring them with a fake title.

Also, I have heard a lot of horror stories about when people have to send in their laptop's to Asus. I understand the whole business stand point, etc etc on why they should go to their own facilities, but damn... Would it make them bankrupt to contract through say BestBuy or other places that are more local for people to take problematic Asus computers to have fixed?

ASUS has an ASP (Authorized Service Provider) program that allows local repair and servicing. However, this program is very confusing for both the consumer and the resellers/asp.

Some ASPs can only service units sold by them (like us) while others can service any unit, the best bet would be contacting ASUS and asking who the nearest ASP is. Once you find that out your best bet is to call them and ask if they have any idea on the part availability for your unit.

The OP should try and get in contact with someone from the Customer Loyalty(CL) team to see if this issue can't be resolved in a way that benefits both parties. However, I highly suggest that the OP approach the agents and reps with a clear head and calm demeanor. The agents you will be speaking with have little control over how these units are serviced in the past.

The current CL rep on this forum is CL-Albert.

If Albert can't help you or doesn't respond in a timely manner please contact me via PM and I will try and get someone from his management team involved.

The LCD on my parents' G74 went bad, sent it off to Asus on a Friday, received it back on the next Friday. Quick turn-around for them.

I had similar issues with the asus service center when i gave my laptop for checking the heat sink as its not been as good as it was supposed to be and ended up with a broken screen and a couple other problems and it took a couple of weeks for things to get fixed and still the actual problem was never fixed more over the screen seems a bit yellowish now and the speakers make crazy buzz sounds when playing some music.
