Have you tried using the 3D glasses with the keyboard backlight on?

Have you tried checking out the App in Control Panel?, I don't know what it would be on your G75 but there should be some kind of Audio Manager Software inserted into Control Panel that you can run and in the speakers setting click the little button next to "Enable Bass Management" or something similar, this *should* help even out the woofer against the main speakers.
