g74 battery is dead.. 2 months old! always shows 41%

The thread says it all: my 2 month old G74's battery is now dead!

It shows in windows 41% plugged in, not charging. It shows on Express Gate 41%.
If i unplug the cord the laptop dies (like there is no battery)

The LED is ALWAYS orange. Still Orange or Blinking Orange.

I never though a costly laptop would have so bad components (apart the CPU, the GPU and the cooling system) everything else is rubbish!

Next time leave the battery in the notebook.

Try reseating it a few times.

i tried several times until i accepted my fate!
it's the punishment for upgrading the bios sucessfully with windows installer..

I think batteries may be the one item that Asus will actually ship out to you as a warranty repair.....I think,,,,,

Hopefully, it'll just be a matter of setting up the order and they'll ship one out to you ASAP. Keep us posted.

Keep it on a charge. Rechargeable batteries are funny sometimes.

Does the battery icon in your tray indicate that it's charging?

the battery spent the whole night connected to the power supply..
The tray icon says: 41% Plugged In, Not Charging, the led is AlWAYS ORANGE. Sometimes is blinking sometimes is not.

my dumb thought for today: the cell phone spent the whole day on top of the battery yesterday (because i kept it outside the laptop)..
