I have had issues after installing latest nvidia drivers to play doom dark ages. 576.40 and then afterwards 576.28
I used DDU to clean traces and now I cant find the setting in control panel that lets you select automatic, optimus and gpu.
I had no issues back when I was using the old 572.83 and before I updated drivers I was plying games total war pharoah, re4 remake with smooth performance. 1600 and 1440 and now they both have sluggish play or stuttering... its like my pc is using integrated or soemthing.
I went into bios to change from Dynamic to dGPU only after I had this issue and now its not performing like it did out of the box.
What can I do without loosing time? the quickest fix without sendin it away.. or something or reinstall and wipe.
how do I get the system back to the way it was 3 weeks ago, without loosing my steam game saves and game recordings?

This has been happening on last 3 driver releases. The latest driver that works without black screening on auto switch to dgpu has been 572.83 for me on a Strix 18 G834JY.
Raise bug alert to Nvidia to get them to fix on their next driver release.

I had to do a factory reset, games like total pharoah in 2560x1600 ultra settings were smooth before, and i was getting choppy when you move camera slow down move slowdown move , when it should quick and smoth easy rotation of the camera.
Resident evil 4 remake was showing cracks stuttering and lag freezes and skips.
I had the pc since march 5th and bee gaming on it since, using cooler pad, being careful with it.. and then the doom dark ages driver 576.40 had those issues i mentioned, then 576.28, using DDU everytime for every drivers i wiped and installed then my pc wasnt running the way i remebered the last 3 months.

after the issues I mentiond above happend,
I figured it cant be hardware failure or defects, because I been using it since march, I'm thinking something caused gpu to not run right so I did a reset fully clean drive and use cloud to reinstall windows.

I also made the mistake of installing a 576.28 desktop driver, being lazy using google search to find the driver clicked on the download page to nvidia didnt even look twice... I think it was software/driver corruption I hope.
