G614JVR-ES94 Issues after installing 576.40 and Factory Reset

Tuesday i installed 576.40 for dark ages. And game ran crappy, all the other games i played in the last 3 months , total war pharaoh, the thing, re4 remake re2 remake, total war attila, re4 original, ryse son of rome , total war troy, all worked great.

For last 4 days i went through different drivers .40 .28 etc and i used DDU everytime to install and restart each time it is not playing games like it used to.

I bought G614JVR-ES94 Rog Strix feb 26th.... had it used since march 7th. Everything worked great until tuesday onwards,then today friday morning i did a factory reset.

Fully clean drive option and chose cloud install over pc reinstall to try fresh clean copy.

After setting up pc and tweaking settings and testing, and updating to 576.40 and ran doom 2016, doom eternal, total war pharaoh, total war attila , re2 remake and the thing remastered i noticed performance hits and sluggish gameplay.

I am about to do a rma, and contact support.

Im not sure if its driver error or hardware failure, i also saw color particles forming in re4 original with older drivers after reset and before reset.

I also noticed stuttering sounds cracks and sluggish gameplay with re4 remake and doom dark ages....

Toatal war troy and pharaoh were both done in 2560x1600 resolution on ultra settings and they both played smooth for 3 weeks each....i got the recorded gameplays to prove it.......

Also, i mistakenly installed a desktop driver of the 4060 576.28 by mistake, i hope that didnt break the gpu, i did that after i installed 576.40 and removed it and installed .28, then i installed correct one after that and then my older 573. And then i realised .my pc wasnt running great like it did monday.....

Guys i need advice, is my pc fine, or do i have a defect?

Myasus app dosnt show errors i see green check marks and device manager doesnt show any yellow exclamation marks.

I did sfc / scannow and chkdsk they all came back clean..

I took good care of pc and used a cooler pad....

I did the DDU and tried the 556.36 and it played somewhat better but still had stutter and lag then I installed the asus driver and it improved a bit but it is old, and when I got my pc in march the driver I gamed on was'nt the default asus one, it was one of the nvidia drivers on march 7th, I updated to that driver then when I got it friday on the 7th and was setting it up. It ran smooth and had great performance.

now, I don't know what to do, I already updated the armoury crate, and asus software after the factory reset, i put on the driver from asus and i don't like the performance I'm getting.

the asus driver is dated june of 2024.

How hot is the CPU and GPU in these games? Use hardware monitor so you can view the peak temperatures. 

And what tweaks do you have on the CPU / voltage adjustments?

Do you also have any benchmarks so we can see the performance? Like 3Dmark Stee Nomad and Timespy?

I can test it later this afternoon, but i can tell you i got 7th march, irt ran fine, but i didnt use factory driver, i updated to march update then and it ran great, then a friend told not to update drivers due to issies others were having to performance, then i didnt for a month and a half, then i did the doom driver and it messed up pc, and then i tried other drivers that were before it, using ddu to fix it and then i decided to do factory reset.

Will accidentily installing a desktop driver for the 4060 along with other drivers around the time i was gerting these problems with pwrformance cause hardware failure?

On first day i cloned original ssd to 2tb ssd and switched to that. And used it for 3 months, everything ran fine, i didnt updated past march drivers after hearing about the issues other were having.

I could as a last resort put in original ssd from first day and set everything up and test everything. Monday, coffe sop wifi too slow to do downloads, then if it doesnt show improvements i could RMA it.....

Right now some games run almost like it did with 556. Driver but a little latency, others lile re4 remake and doom 2016 and eternal are running slower, doom eternal main menu is get 10 fps and its slow....

I remember running eternal in 2560x1600 fine on ultra, it ran smooth, re4 remake ran great in 1440, but i wasnt running default driver during those times, i was using marxh drivers, i think, i stopped updating and used late march driver or something like that, i read that april driver updates messed up peoplws system....

Right now im thinking its fine but doesnt have stable drivers, games you can test if you want are, re4 remake, doom 2016, doom eternal, re2 remake and re3 remake, daek ages, performance in those were some lag and stuttering quick slowdowns like microstutters, doesnt look smooth... 

Im hoping its not hardware failure, being without pc for 2 weeks so soon since march of getting it and sending it to RMA is gonna suck...

Last pcs i had in past wh3n i RMA it didnt perform right and i remember it shutting off when running demanding games, other games like resident evil remaster mansion ran fine on the old 580 gl702zc....

So im having hope here its not hardware failure, im running the games with performance hits....

I went to nvidia forums and tech guy said to use driver form asus, well i did that and it is showing the performance I already mentioned earlier.

its a 2024 driver, but it is not the driver I used when gaming for the last 3 months...as I said I updated the march drivers and i think i stopped when april came around, after I heard about the driver issues.... I can't remember the driver I used in march but I had to guess the first one or second.
