So I just got my G55VW-DS71 a couple weeks ago and so far I love this laptop, it's amazing. However I just had an issue pop up last night that has me a bit concerned. I noticed the sound of something moving around inside of it. If I had to guess it seriously sounds like either a small screw or a piece of plastic rolling around inside of it. It sounds as if it's coming from under the DVD drive but from opening up the bottom panel for the HDD and Memory I can't see anything.
Has anyone else had this issue before or any recommendations? So far the laptop is still running great I just hate to think of whatever it is getting caught up in a fan or causing a short on the board or something.
Hi, if it is always able to hear, i suggest you send back to RC to check and you are able to know what is inside sound with your G55VW-DS71, fixed you concern and play machine more comfortable and happy.
I had something moving around my Asus g75vw and it turned out to be the round metal cover thing over the fan under the right cover. I just pushed it back in. It was easy to fix.
