So, if you want to actually play games on your "gaming notebook" without plugging in a USB mouse...
Uninstall the elan driver and let windows install the standard PS/2 driver. reboot.
This will cause all of the multi-touch scrolling/zooming/window switching to stop working.
I think this can really be fixed by messing around with the ETD.inf file before installing the driver again.
I thought I had found the option, but it didn't change anything... I will keep trying.
For now, this is the only solution I could find.
I was really enjoying the quick functions that the ELAN driver provides for web browsing and switching apps the "pretty" way,
but if I can't get my RAGE on while sitting in my chillin' chair, WHY DID I SPEND ALL THIS MONEY!?
