G53sw Sound Issues

Hey everybody.


I am using a g53sw, and i have noticed that when i plug in my 2.1 speakers, the sound does not come out properly. I checked in the audio manager, and i cannot change the speaker configuration from "Sterio" at all, as it is greyed out

Does anybody know of a way to fix this?

I had almost similar sound problems.. Fixed with latest Realtek audio drivers, you can get yours from Asus:

Thanks for speedily answering the question, +1 rep. Audio drivers can--and do--get finicky sometimes. If it works, you might want to check Realtek's website for more recent ones. ASUS hardware can usually run the drivers put out by the hardware manufacturer, in addition to ASUS-certified drivers. I know this is true for the nVidia drivers, since I run the nVidia beta driver (301.XX when the latest ASUS driver is 296.16).
