Consistently for a few weeks now my laptop will not start after having it off for long hours. It boots up fine if I don't take too long like an hour or two, but switching it off in the evening and turning it on in the morning (about 8 hours), it's dead. I usually have to power cycle and that can take up to 2 hours before I have a response again. Sometimes longer.
The battery is NOT drained when it turns on again. It's not a temperature thing like too cold. Room temp never changes here.
Things I've tried:
* unplugging charging cable overnight
* disabling fast boot
Help please!

Hello,
When you have it working and off for 2 hours, at this point do you see a charge light?
When its off over night and not working, do you see a charge light?
And when it is fully charged / on and working what happens if you take the power cable out? Does it last or drain too quick when using it?
It does sound like a battery issue, these typically when in constant use will last around 4-5 years.
