The error is also present in Archlinux !

Did you try to shut it down and power back on?
It looks like your Shift button is stuck.

Yes i have tried.
Shift, really ? Look more like windows hotkey. And sometimes ctrl+alt. Like switching tty under linux is made with ctrl+alt+f1 to f6

It's unusable ... seems more like a crappy bios for me ! But even kernel option and disabling mei or dtpf does not work ...

If you can you could try downloading and installing asus keyboard adjustment tool, it updates the keyboard's firmware http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/GL502VS/ASUS_Keyboard_adjustment_VER1030.zip

Upgrade done but still not working.
Windows menu popup when he want and after keyboard become crazy !

Hi,

I make an update to this post because I'm running into the same problem. The windows key appears to be "stuck" when windows boot, but it's software related. Physically the windows key is fully working and I didn't spill any liquid or any sticky substance on my keyboard.
My problem is the exact same one as you can see in the videos at the beginning of this thread.

Whenever I hit a keyboard key, the windowskey is enabled so windowskey related shortcuts keep being triggered.
The only workaround I have found is by totally disabling the windowskey using the software keyTweak (key number 59 for the gl502vm).

Please help us with this problem so I can use my windowskey again.

Thanks.

I can confirm that blaclisting key 59 under keytweak is working under windows.
But under linux, it's not the same number showed with xev. What me could show is that windows key have two keycode 133 and 134 when we press on it related to bad wiring left and right windows key may be or firmware related. Disabling this key with xmodmap -e "keycode 133 = F18 F18 F18" under linux really disable windows key and system could be work but this key keeps sending event to system so it's not reliable and unusable in linux. If someone know another command or trick under linux to do that ....
Asus please provide good and reliable firmware !

So back from repair, they changed motherboard, keyboard module and screen cable. Don't know why they change LVDS cable ...
Laptop was used only one month before they repair it ...
