What is the deal with this feature? I'm in the UK.
It is shown on lots of marketing images, including on the asus website for the g16 strix laptop.
I've seen it on reviewed versions on YouTube.
It seems such a handy feature. In fact I'd rather a truly centralised keyboard on both the g16 and g18 and this seems a great way to achieve this.
Has it been problematic to use, or faulty? I've seen it on other asus laptops in currys.
I spoke to asus on the phone last night about this and the man was helpful but unable to tell me which model numbers have this feature!
I've looked at g615lr-s5191w, g614fr-s5115w And g815lr-s9002w.
Can someone at asus please shed some light on this, I'm holding off purchase until I get some clarity.
Many thanks
Gareth

Hello,
Whilst you wait for an official reply this may help, for the most part the numpad is mainly seen in the SCAR series, so Rog Strix SCAR G16/G18 but sadly some images of those are scattered around on all the other models like the Rog Strix, with retailers also just picking images direct from ASUS.
When looking at the specs it will say "support numberpad" and some non SCAR models do have them but it's less common. Eg,
All the models you list do not have the numpad.

Thank you for your response, that's very kind. I suspect you're into something there.
I have submitted an email to the customer service team of the asus shop, and highlighted how they are, so far as I can see in breach of quite a number of points on the ASA code for the UK at least. Given the idea of the code is to help sellers ensure their advertisement is legal within the UK, it seems unlikely it could be classed as such.
Maybe I'll have more luck getting an Asus brand response there 🙂
