FPS Throttling / Test And What I found playing GTA IV

So i booted up gTA iv today and i wanted to play a little bit and i got in did some missions and stuff then i noticed some fps throttling issues like the game was running fine at 30-60 fps then it would randomly dropped to 15 I figuered something out i think... i want to the nvidia control panel and noticed i had texture filtering quality to "high quality" i changed it to "Quality" and i went back and played the same missions and stuff again and no throttle issues!! am i on to something??? thanks just a hint if u having drop or throttle issues...

oh ya i played at
1920 x 1080 almost all maxed out 4x ansio or whatever plays fine just like i used to play on xbox 30-60 solid

oooo so you did change the "high quality down to quality" instead and the fps improved?

yes it stopped the throttling... before it was dropping to 15 fps for a second and that no longer happens its really annoying :cool:
