I have the same as the others, windows asked me to do a firmware update to ver330 , no change log. After the update my laptop did not start anymore.
I was panicking until I found this coffin explaining the EC reset method of 40 seconds. After trying that three times it finally came back to life.
What is wrong with the firmware updates these days? Is Asus aware?

Hello, I have not yet updated to version 330, I would appreciate it if you could explain the EC restart method here, so that other users who have the same problem can solve it step by step, if the computer remains black after the update.

1.Plug your laptop into the charger.
2.Turn off the laptop.
3.When the laptop is off and connected to the charger, hold the power button for 40+ seconds .

There have a change... Try to run Cinebench R23 benchmark whit bios 329 and after this whit bios 330 and you will see -6000 points lower score for the newest bios 🙂 also in games you will not get more than 65 watt's for the cpu and you will not get anything better whit the newest bios fir this reason i still use bios 318 who's doesn't have CPU power limit and if you have good cooling pad (my is IETS GT500) + good fan speed profile you can get 130 watts for the GPU un games and another 100 watts for the CPU whit normal temps for the CPU not more than 80 for the gpu not more than 65-70

I had the same issue after 330 on Scar 16.
Black screen and even the reset method did not work.
Upgraded to Kingston Fury 2x32GB 5600 Mhz half a year ago and it only came back to life after putting the old 2x16GB 4800 Mhz back and then it finished the windows update.
Tried again after the installation with the new memory without success.
