External monitor changes resolution with closed lid GL502

Hi!
Whenever connect my GL502 to my TV via HDMI cable to watch movies, the TV resolution uses 1080P. But once I close the lid or set the screen as external only, the TV resolution drops. Any chance to prevent this from happening? It seems I need to keep my laptop display on just to watch on full HD.

Anyone got a workaround?

Hi,

The easiest way out should be to set your laptop projection to second screen only then you can close your lid. Likely the graphic card will detect your TV size and display accordingly.

Hope it helps else you will have to tweak the display resolution manually, not a chore but just extra effort. 😃
