Do I need to reinstall windows with new G18 laptop?

I just got the G18 from Best Buy, I've been seeing a lot of talk about people reinstalling windows, is this something I need to do? Is this because people suspect malware?

Also what other things do you suggest I do? I also see a lot of talk about undervolting the CPU, is this something I need to do? If so, how do I go about this?

You're not going to get malware on a new laptop from a trusted seller, worst you'll get is some bloat. You don't need to do anything, but fresh windows install doesn't hurt and won't take long.

You don't need to undervolt depending on your luck with the cpu and liquid metal application, but a good undervolt will always give you better performance and temps.
