Disconnect battery on new laptop

I just bought a new G814JIR and was wondering if anyone else has drained their battery to 60% and then just disconnected it.

I would rather not have battery degradation.  I would like to disconnect the battery header under the fan and run the laptop only when plugged in. If I ever need the battery I'll plug it back in.  Anyone else do this yet?

set battery at 'Maximum lifespan mode'  , this will stop charging after 60% reached...  it even stopped swollen battery problem on my laptop....
