Computer shutting down automatically on open lid

Hey guys, I need some help here.

Unfortunately, I don't know the reason, but after the last updates from my Asus laptop, ASUS—ROG Strix 18, I'm having trouble. I bought it in December 2024 in the US but I live outside the US. I've tried contacting Asus support, and they told me that they can't help me because I don't live in the US.

The error that I'm facing like in the subject is: always that when I open the lid from this laptop the computer turns on, and after some seconds turns off and blinks the LED on the power button for ~20 seconds.

What I already tried. everything that I found on the internet about handling the energy from laptop lid. and the final movement was reset the windows to the factory version but didn't work too. I tried to access the BIOS but without success, once I couldn't keep the lid open

The curious for me is if I open the lid and instantly close it, the screen goes to my external monitor. But if I open the lid already after inside on Windows the computer will abruptly turn off.

@Anshuanand

I picked up the computer from the repair shop in my city yesterday. They conducted all possible analyses and identified an issue with the lid sensor on the laptop.
According to their explanation, it’s a chronic problem where the sensor mistakenly identifies the open lid as if the power button were being pressed. Ideally, the sensor should be replaced, but it is soldered to the motherboard, so it’s not possible to replace it with a similar part. Since this is a machine that is not sold in my country and is very new, I can’t find replacement parts for it here in Brazil.
Unfortunately, I’ll have to use the computer with an external monitor at all times because Asus doesn’t provide local support. I spent a huge amount of money on this computer only to get zero support in my country thanks Asus for this

I hope all this information helps you find and solve your problem.
