So my ROG Strix G17 has been doing me fine for the past couple years. Ive had almost no issues with it. I use it for personal and school use, as Im too broke to afford another computer powerful enough for my classes (I work in game design). Just today, the charger for it just, stoped working. Ive ruled out the battery, as I plugged in my nintendo switch charger and the charging indicator came on, and it is charging the computer, as long as Im not running anything super heavy. I dont think the port is broken, but I dont have another charger to test it, or else I wouldnt be here asking you guys. The charger has a light rattle to it, but its had that for a long while now. Ive tried different outlets, still nothing. I think its something wrong with the charger. You guys have any fixes, or am I ******ed and need to get a new one

Hello,
Does your school have an electronics class / teacher that can help with checking the voltage output and fuse in the plug?
You need a digital multimeter to check if the power supply is outputting a voltage, 19.5v.
And also just to check the fuse in the mains plug with the digital multimeter.
If you get a reading, this indicates the charger might be ok, not always the case.

Yeah, Im good friends with the professor, I can ask him for the multimeter. Ill reply when I get around to doing it. If it doesnt read the charger right, Im just going to get a new charger.

Yes if there is no voltage output from the charger it's gone.
