Hello Everyone. I really need your guys’ help. My laptop is 5 years old, and I want to upgrade both the hard drives to a faster SSD. Getting the sn850x for the M.2, and the MX500 for the SATA 2.5. My question is can I just simply unplug the 2 and install the newer SSDs? I know it cant be that simple. I want to keep all the stock apps and whatever the laptop came with from factory. Please let me know and thank you.

The data drive can be replaced directly. If you want to transfer the data you may need an external 2.5 enclosure to copy the files.

The boot drive can either be: installed blank, Windows installed from a USB stick, and ASUS software installed from the notebook support page
Or: use a cloning tool to clone the boot drive. I like Macrium Reflect but there are others. Just make sure it says it can clone a Windows installation.
