Cannot Enable GL702VS Wake on Lan for AC8260 Wireless Card

I'm trying to set up WOL on my laptop using the Wireless card. I have the Intel AC8260 wireless card, and the Realtek PCIe Ethernet controller.

In Device manager, When I go to the properties of the AC8260, then Power management, the option to "Allow this device to wake the computer" is grayed out and unchecked. I can't check it.

When I do the same for the Realtek controller, the option is checked and additionally the "Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer" is also checked.

Any reason why I can't enable WOL on my AC8260 card?

Thanks.

forgive my ignorance but does WOL even exist for a wireless card? this would mean the AC8260 adaptor would always have to be left powered and connected.

Not exactly sure, but if you see the link below and scroll to the 3rd image, it shows the AC8260 in Device Manager with WOL enabled.
The link however talks about a PC and not a laptop, so I'm note sure.
