C PORT not working

Hi I have a ROG Strix G532LWS and recently bought a ROG XG32WCS and having problems connecting using the c port. Worked once and then a second time after disconcerting the monitor power and re connecting it. Hasn’t worked since. HDMI works fine. Monitor was turning on and off after powering down the lap top when c port was working. I’ve tried restarting changing the display settings connecting the c port before powering up and after powering up. Any help would be appreciated
