Hello guys. Please help me. I'm one of those who ripped off the female battery connector and later realized that there's a hinge that slides to free up the male battery connector. My son spilled water on the laptop and I wanted to disconnect the battery so that's when it happened. Anyway...
I figured that the contact points seem to be intact (am I correct?) so I just went ahead and ordered the battery connector (BATTCONK501). So here are my questions which I hope you fine gents and gals can answer:
1. Those contact points the blue arrows are pointing at, are they really connected to each other? Or should they be separate? I just found them like that after ripping off the battery connector. Seems like they're connected, no?
2. Those I circled yellow, can I just use epoxy on those to stick the batt connector to the motherboard, and that should line up the pins of the connector to the contact points on the motherboard, right?
3. If 2 is okay, do I still need to solder the pins to those contact points?
4. While waiting for that part to arrive, I guess it's okay to power the laptop using the adapter and without the battery connected, right?
