I have a problem while updating bios on my Rog laptop G615LW. After I finish downloading the bios update in MyAsus and click restart, my laptop stuck at black (blank) screen after restart and the bios update wont start (UEFI interface didnt show up). My laptop will just stuck at black screen and all I can do is force reboot my laptop. I still can bootup my laptop without any issue after that but still I cant update BIOS to the latest version v318 (v315 currently installed).

*Not sure is this relevant, but I am in laptop ultimate mode (dedicated gpu only)

I'm having the same issue on my G835LW

I fix it by switch from ultimate mode (dedicated gpu only) to standard mode (hybrid). Bios won't boot in ultimate mode, maybe it use iGpu as default display so disable iGpu make it black screen

Looks like there are also stability issues with v318 as well I learned from another thread, are you having issues after you updated to v318? also I don't have ultimate mode, I have performance turbo and silent, is that the mode your talking about.

So far no problem after update to v318.

No, it is not the one I am talking abt, in AC or Ghelper you can adjust which gpu to use and for ultimate mode it will limited to dedicated Gpu only by disabling iGpu. Maybe in BIOS the default display is integrated Gpu and ultimate mode disabled it, that's why when I want to update BIOS it shows black (blank) screen.

I am. After awhile the keyboard will stop working, headset stops working, mouse pad and mouse stop as well. If I replug the usb it tells me the usb device isn’t recognized. A restart fixes it but it just happens again after 10 or minutes

I think you can try to reset pc or another option is to reinstall windows update if you want to keep your apps installed.

Or did you plug in too many device?

I have no clue. It happens if i have nothing plugged in. The Keyboard just stops working along with the touchpad. Troubleshooting gets me nowhere and device manager has no warnings. I'm going to try getting in touch with someone at support tomorrow and see if that helps. If that fails, i'll try resetting bios and going from there.  I had zero problems before updating. This is my second laptop (same make and model) that I've had in a month that, after an update, just doesnt work or has issues. Now that I think about it, I'm probably just going to return it and get my money back.

Does it happened only when using laptop battery? Or happened even when AC plug in?
