Automatic switch display NVIDIA

I have the latest Asus rog strix scar 18 G835LX laptop, and I noticed that when starting a game on steam, the laptop hangs for a moment and switches the graphics driver from igpu to dgpu, additionally hdr automatically turns on, brightness adjustment is blocked, nothing can be changed, is this a normal situation in the latest Asus scar series laptops? I also noticed that the RTX card is in the taskbar as a safe device to remove. maybe someone from support can explain this, thank you.

try install PrecisionTouchPad driver (don't ask what the connection is) at least for 2023-2024 it worked

Hello,

The display switching delay is common, you can set the display to nvidia only in the nvidia control panel.

Or view the system tray icons and that can provide a quick switch if needed.

This gives you a few icons, it's the green one to choose modes.

Optimus is sweet spot. If you choose NVIDIA GPU only you can not close adaptive brightness and this is annoying future for me.
