Hello,
I encounter a problem not having a sound from my laptop speakers at all. For the first time I installed Windows 10 and then installed all the drivers from the official ASUS support website. When it didn't work, I did format the drive to install Windows 11. After some struggle with Wi-Fi drivers (you cannot finish Windows 11 installation without access to the internet) I managed to enter the desktop view. However there is still no sound from speakers at all. I can hear sound when I connect my headphones but when once I disconnect them there is no more sound from speakers at all. To addition, there is always a startup sound I can hear so I guess speakers are not damaged.
Cheers

I found the solution finally. I was missing one single driver. It's Cirrus SmartAMP in version 23.26.47.747. Weird was, there was no problem with speakers to be found by Windows system; according to Device manager everything was alright. You just have to install the mentioned driver. I think someone might find that useful so I attach the driver to the post.
Cheers!
EDIT:
Another information, it works fine with Windows 10 also. You don't have to stick to Windows 11 using this laptop

I haved the same problem first i have install windows 10 and i try everything to fix the sound but no success i haved only sound from the headphones and i was able to hear the start-up sound but no speakers sound after this i install a windows 11 pro version and that fix my problem try do download other version of windows 11 and make again clean install
I use this app to create a flash image file

In the meanwhile i tried activating Windows 11 and it helped... but sound is too quiet. It works like was no amplifier in system whatsoever. It's weird considering my older ASUS G752VM sounds much better. It seems to me that in G834JZ the Realtek sound device is OEM only for ASUS laptops. I will try contacting official support since the laptop is brand new and I have just registered the serial number of the laptop.
The problem is pretty much sus to me because speakers should work normally on Windows 11. I hope it was not designed that way

i am 100% sure this is software problem

So try to install this app and make little abjusting forbest effect

Sadly it didn't help. It's either drivers or hardware problem. I don't know
According to the ASUS website G834 should have 4 speakers. For me it's working only 2 upper tweeters. The downward ones don't seem to work

Hello! I am encountering the same sound issues for the sound with speakers. I contacted ASUS support and are telling me to send them the laptop now because they are saying it is not a software issue. I tried installing the mentioned driver in the solution above but that did not work unfortunately.
I tried installing the Realtek Audio Driver as well but also this did not work. When checking the drivers of the audio, I find it is not Realtek but High Definition Audio Device.
I just bought the laptop and still have warranty. But I am sure it will take a long time for them to repair it for me.
It is really frustrating because I feel it is a software issue because when I turn the PC on and before it reaches the login page it does make a sound!!
Anyone has any idea of what can help?
Edited:
I decided in the end to try installing more drivers hoping one of them solves it, the one that worked for me is this one Intel(R) SST. I think maybe this driver page from Asus will help more and choose your exact model and then your OS and go to the Audio section and start checking the drivers in the list and go through them each (perhaps a combination that made it work for me I am unsure).
As a summary, I am extremely disappointed with ASUS to be honest as they have a very high reputation and yet I encountered such an issue that is very basic in my humble opinion, and then the support was not helpful at all and in the end just wanted me to ship it for repair even though I informed them that it is not a hardware issue.
I am glad it is fixed and I hope it will be the last disappointment by ASUS.

Did you read every comment here and did you try to reinstall windows 11 again becouse this is software problem i also have it before .... If this was hardware problem you will not be able to hear the startup sound
Read all comments if you are still not read them
And try a fresh windows 11 reinstall
Also sometimes the mistakes come from us not from asus when i haved the same problem in me was the mistake becouse i install windows 10 not 11
I dont know 100% where is your problem but the chance to be software problem is very big
