From what I know, the Intel Chispet drivers must be installed first, then the rest of the chipset drivers, followed by the Graphics Drivers, Sound, LAN/Wireless, then the rest.
But according to this article, ASUS recommends installing the Intel Serial IO Driver before the Intel Chipset Drivers, not after. Can someone explain please?

I'll tell you more, each model may have nuances, for example, according to this instruction, you need Realtek first, after ISST, but if I repeat this on my G18, my sound will not work. If 1. ISST 2. Cirrus 3. Realtek, then the sound works without any problems.

As for SerialIO, for example, I encountered a situation when in 24H2 the already installed MS version of SerialIO in Windows did not work (the touchpad did not function), and only after the driver from ASUS it started working.
Probably, this is so complicated that people avoid No OS versions, because only ASUS developers know all the secrets of the internal kitchen of dependencies 🙂
Let's try to focus on this procedure. I tested the factory iso 22H2 from G614/G634 on the G814 model for a year, and everything worked fine until the BIOS was installed, which artificially limits compatibility with "outdated" drivers (the best drivers).
In addition, in the factory Windows, when setting up APO tuning, Registry branches are taken into account that are not present during a normal installation. And for me, the main mystery is how they achieved the correct operation of the Nvidia Auto switching function without a black screen after waking the laptop from sleep mode. We will never know the exact secrets of using additional patches in the installation sequence. Since the laptop is planned to be supported for no more than 1-2 years.

Why was SerialIO installed in the first place... I can only guess, for example, so that an attacker could not replace the touchpad driver due to its dependence on the chipset driver!?
The touchpad is also used in the MyASUS WinPE (Recovery) environment.
These are philosophical questions, why and for what purpose my laptop was recently hacked after BIOS 331, and for me all these methods of protecting drivers are an empty sound after such events.
Another possible reason, for example, installing Windows in standalone mode, your touchpad does not work with the box, you press Shift + F10, enter Notepad, go from it to the directory with the SerialIO driver and instantly get access to the touchpad, which is convenient for such a scenario.
