Hi ,
My problem is that every time I attempt to enter Windows Recovery Environment (WinRe) mode e.g. through MyAsus app, the laptop is rebooting and then, during the waiting screen, I get a BSOD error with the message "stop code system thread exception not handled".
This happens every time always.
Apart from that the laptop functions normaly under any situations like heavy gaming or demanding video editing or various stress tests without issues.
All drivers and bios are up to date.
Attaching 2 screenshots with the BSOD error.
Note that sometimes , as you will see on the second screenshot , appears the message
that failed TbtBusDrv.sys ( it has to do with the thunder bolt driver).
Anyway there is not anything connected onto the laptop , only a mouse.
Any ideas folks ? Thanks!
UPDATE :
Today after installing Bios 321 ( I had 319) and my Windows 11 to 23h2 from 22h2 the problem stopped.
I do not know if it was the Bios or the Windows.

After a lot trial end errors I found the solution was to disable through bios the onboard hd audio. I have all the audio drivers updated but the problem remains , unless the onboard audio is disabled in the bios. Strange that the bsod indicate the thuderbolt driver as the cause . Any way I consider my case solved.

Good day, i have the same stupid problem...can you please tell how did you turn off the onboard hd audio through the BIOS settings? I haven't found anything in BIOS related to the sound (i have Asus scar 16 2023).

In my own laptop ( Asus Rog Strix G834) the bios menu for disabling - enabling hd audio is located under the security tab. It is the Hd audio interface lock / unlock option . See the picture

Hi, I have similar issue, your solution helped me greatly. The problem is my laptop audio will stop working if i don't turn the hd audio interface back on. Is there any permanent solution to fix it. I am using Asus rog Zephyrus g16.

Dont know for permanent solution. Maybe a software - bios problem. Any way I have always my audio enabled. I need to disable it ,through bios ,only if I want to boot into Windows Recovery Environment (WinRe) mode , other than that no need to have it disabled.
