ASUS Rog Strix G733PZ (Ryzen 9 7945HX + 4080) issues Photoshop / Lightroom and normal working

Hello.

This is my laptop specification:

  • Screen - WQHD 17.3 inci, 240Hz
  • Processor - AMD Ryzen™ 9 7945HX Mobile Processor (16-core/32-thread, 64MB L3 cache, up to 5.4 GHz max boost)
  • GPU - NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4080
  • TGP – 175W
  • RAM- 2x 8 GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM *2
  • Storage - 1 TB Performance SSD PCIe® 4.0 NVMe™ M.2

I have the laptop for one month. After I buy it, I did next steps:

  • reinstalling Windows 11
  • install latest BIOS verison
  • install all drivers manually from Asus ROG Support - GPU, Bios, AMD Adrenalin, Armory Crate etc.
  • installing special programs for installing automatically drivers - MyAsus and Drivers Cloud
  • turn off internal graphic card from NVIDIA Control Panel and the optimize the Photoshop and Lightroom in this program
  • put Ultimate on GPU Mode in Armory Crate
  • put coolers in Armory Crate on Turbo

I am a photographer and I use Photoshop 2025 and Lightroom 14.0.1 (latest version) from Adobe Creative Cloud.

I usually get screen freeze in Lightroom after I use AI tools like Mask - Select Background, Linear Gradient and something like this, and in Photoshop I get crashes after using Generative image, but now I don't know what I did, but now is working 🙂

Now, in Photoshop I get 2-4 seconds freeze after selecting with Lasso tool, but after freeze all is working.

For Lightroom by default the graphic card is AUTO, I was tried to put it on CUSTOM with activate 1/3, 2/3 or 3/3 options and the crashes are the same (I will write the options for graphic card on Lightroom).

  1. Use GPU for display
  2. Use GPU  for image processing (Process Version 5 or higher)
  3. Use GPU for export

Now, Graphic Proccesor in Lightroom is turned off, all is working better in comparation with AUTO or Custom, but is not working normally.

The crashes and screen freeze or Graphic Card artefacts is even time in comparation with blue screens.

After crashes/screen freeze, I was getting blue screen (not even time) with next errors:

  • DPC_WATCHDOG VIOLATION (I get a more times this error)
  • TDR_VIDEO_FAILURE (only one time)

Laptop is working like some driver is not installed, but all is up to date.

I have 5 dumpfiles in Windows, I will put link here:

Any solutions?:)
