Asus ROG Strix G731GW Aura Service Update to V3.04.02 Failed

Hi From Greece.
My Laptop is Strix Hero 3. The model is G731GW (i7 -9750H with the RTX2070 and 144hz screen).

I have an issue regarding the update of Aura Service . Tried to update the to version 3.04.02 (15/05/2020) but failed.
When i press the update button it starts the update ("Updating your App") but half the way it stops.
No error message or something. Just stops.

May you try to update the Armoury Crate first then see if the Aura Service can be updated?

I solved the issue by using the tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-instal...

Open the tool and choose difficulty uninstalling click next and choose Aura Service and it will take a little while to fix the issue, just be patient.

Afterwards go back to Update center in Armory crate and update it should work.

The problem stems from the updater unable to uninstall the old service due to corruption or something and the tool from MS fixes that problem.

i got the same problem. When i use the Microsoft Tool i have 7 ASUS AURA Entries :

1. ASUS AURA Display Component
2. ASUS AURA Extension Card Hal
3. ASUS AURA Headset Component
4. ASUS AURA Motherboard Hal
5. ASUS AURUA Odd Component
6. ASUS AURA SDK
7. ASUS AURA VGA Component

Which of the entries is the AURA SERVICE ?
Do i have to uninstall each single component beginning with ASUS AURA ?

Scroll down you should see Aura service, it doesnt have asus in front of it.

Do you have an asus laptop or motherboard?

I mean the other option is you just download and install Aura service by itself.
