ASUS Rog Strix G615 (2025) Battery and System fan INOPM

I have had an accidental spillage while i was asleep which seeped into the backlights and burnt the LED corner badly.

Main problem is now the laptop will not boot up via battery but will boot up with AC cord. Battery holds charge and can be charged but does not supply power. The system fan that sits above the battery connector has its red and yellow wire warped and melted slightly. Cannot judge whether the connector port for the fan is inoperable, but can say the fan is likely damaged.

Fault code for fan is hwO2_fan_08. Battery diagnostic does not give any fault when plugged in and tested.  Cannot get laptop repaired with warranty due to my panic of attempting to clean and removal of LED lights and wire to prevent more burning of it.

Wondering if there's a way to potentially repair such things with replacements of the two components to see whether spillage has rendered both useless.

most important thing: do nit try to boot the laptop, disconnect the laptop from any power, disconnect the battery, try to dry all the components that are wet and replace the faulty fan.

was the spillage water or a sugared drink?

Some darn ice cream, I cleaned up all visible residue and then gently rubbed isopropyl to clean specific areas that it leaked into, only in the corners of the interior casing by the speakers. Nothing fell directly onto the motherboard or other components from what it looked like. Just bits of it on the battery and very little on the fan.
