Hi all,

My microphone that is built into my computer is not working. I have tried reinstalling the operating system and drivers, but the problem remains. I reached out to both Microsoft and Asus support, but unfortunately, they could not fix it.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I would appreciate any advice before I consider sending it in for repairs. Being without my computer causes a lot of trouble, so I would like to avoid that if possible.

Hi,

Be sure to check the microphone volume as mentioned in the FAQ below if you have not already.

Also, test with Windows Voice Recorder to make sure there isn't some other issue with the app you are using.

Consider using some kind of external microphone or headset with microphone temporarily if you just are not able to send the system to repair currently.
