How can I now rollback the BIOS to version 313? After updating MyASUS to 331 I tried using EzFlash to rollback to any other than 331 (313-330) I see an error
Selected file is not a proper BIOS
Before the update, I could downgrade the BIOS to any version from the Asus website without any problems.
The problem is not in the flash drive, because 331 is flashed back to 331. also tried to downgrade via WinFlash /nodate but after rebooting EzFlash and again Selected file is not a proper BIOS
Factory Windows Home 22H2 v2.05 with ISST 2022 drivers sounds great quality only 313 bios version. By the way, this was the most stable bios, new 331 for 85-90 degrees celsius with undervolting. 313 temperatures 70-80 degrees celsius with undervolting.
I guess BIOS version 313 uses more voltage for HD Audio. Even when loading boot ROG logo sounds more detailed and nicer than 317-331 bios. And in combination with ISST 2022 + Realtek 2022 the sound is transformed into premium quality, all other BIOS make muffled sounds, high frequency detail is lost. If the problem is the new 12B microcode, should I expect a re-upload of 313 along with the 12B added to it, or have all previous BIOS versions turned into a pumpkin forever?
Thanks.

I'm running stock voltage. I haven't touched my RAM.
Anyway, stock voltage has led to more than week of no freezing. I'm constantly running YT and benchmarking games; anything that would trigger a freeze. I guess my unit doesn't like undervolts with the new microcode.

I had not encountered stability issues before, but this latest Bios has reduced performance. My default Cinebnech R23 dropped to 22k from 31k. I would like to return to a more performance oriented Bios but like others here I am not able to get EZ flash to accept any other Bios.

I've had numerous freezes since bios 3.31 and had to swap out to 4800 DDR5 before I could get into the bios to disable undervolting. After that my 5600 DDR could post and get into windows.
After 3 such hang ups I disabled undervolting from bios altogether. This bios 3.31 affects stability with undervolting. Hoping my system remains stable with no undervolting.

Every day it gets more and more interesting, in the PC Repair place we got to the back board and found the BIOS chip. It remains to unsolder the winbond and reflash to the old BIOS.

I just really wish Asus responded regarding this issue. Even if it's to say they've made bios changes that are not reversible for the sake of longevity. Keeping your customers informed, even if its dissapointing news, is better than indifferent silence

I solved my freeze issues by using the stock RAM and avoiding undervoltes.
It's not ideal. But this is the first BIOS update beyond 318 that hasn't been "problematic". I doubt Asus will address this until after they launch their new lineup, if ever.
