Today MyAsus received a BIOS update version 331. However, after installing it, Windows 11 stopped loading, giving random BDOS.
How to roll back the BIOS to the previous stable version 330?
About a regular attempt to flash from a flash drive or from the recovery section (where the Asus installer places the ROM) EZ Flash gives an error that the file is not a firmware.
The file was downloaded from the Asus website, the version is suitable. The firmware is unpacked.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Yes, the update changes the processor microcode to 12Bh.
Well, thanks everyone. The problem is solved. It was caused not by firmware 331 but by the fact of updating the BIOS
After the update was completed, the RAM was set to an unsupported frequency of 5600 MHz, which caused random freezes in the BIOS and BDOS when loading Windows.
Since there are no settings in the BIOS that allow you to set the memory frequency, the solution was to change the memory boards to the one that came with the laptop, with the maximum possible frequency of 4800 MHz. And a second update to avoid any problems. After that, the laptop successfully started up with my RAM.

Try to reset the bios
Plug your laptop into the charger.
Turn off the laptop.
When the laptop is off and connected to the charger, hold the power button for 1 minute.

Interesting that it's causing issues. I also updated my Strix Scar 16 2023 - G634JY to BIOS 331, and everything is stable and running fine.

Seen this update too, marked as Critical on the support page.. Usual optimise system performence in the notes..
Anyone know what it does ? Intel microcode perhaps ?
Thanks

Odd. 5600 ram is officially supported as of bios updates prior. I'm using 5600 now but not yet updated to 331. I kept my 4800 ram so I will see what happens when I update.

I just updated the bios of my G814JI (2023) with 32 Gb 5600 RAM and all went well so might be G814JV related.

What you're saying here is complete nonsense. Anyone who owns the Asus ROG Strix G16/G18 2023 with the Intel Core i9 13980HX can install up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM with 5600 MHz in their device, and it works perfectly fine. What's also possible is to swap in the HDR 1000-certified Mini-LED displays from the 2024 models into the 2023 "non-Scar" model, and these also function flawlessly. You can get the 2024 displays for under €200, adding tremendous value.
For those experiencing cooling issues and familiar with repasting, it's worth checking the heatsink and potentially removing and reapplying Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme. This saves the extra cost of the Scar model for a 2023 device and eliminates the need to buy a 2024 model, as the 5600 MHz RAM works without any problems and the Mini-LED panel from the 2024 model is compatible with the 2023 models.
After repasting, combined with faster RAM, my CPU performance in Cinebench R23 jumped from 32,000 points to 36,000 points. My RTX 4080 now runs cooler and clocks even higher. In 3DMark Time Spy, I achieved over 20,000 graphics points.
But to get back to the main topic: the claim that the 2023 models only support 32 GB or 4800 MHz is simply incorrect.

Interesting thing will be what the score after updating to bios 331 . What is the version of your bios and have you update to 331 if yes what are the points that you make and what is the watt usage in games
