I have had my ASUS ROG Strix G16 gaming laptop for a few months now, but all of a sudden, the day I made this post, my laptop started having this issue where it isn't waking up from sleep properly.
Normally, I would use the scroll wheel on my USB mouse to wake up my laptop from sleep, but all of a sudden out of nowhere, whenever I would wake up my laptop from sleep using the scroll wheel on my USB mouse, it won't wake up from sleep.
Normally, when my laptop goes to sleep, the LED RGB lights around the laptop and the power button LED light do it's usual animation. When I go to wake up my laptop from sleep, the LED RGB lights around the laptop completely turn off, and the power button LED light continues to do it's usual behavior (blinking), but the screen doesn't turn on. However, I actually noticed that the screen is actually turning on, but the backlight just isn't turning on, so if I shine a light at the screen, I can see everything normally. So it just seems like when I go to wake up my laptop from sleep, it partially wakes up, but it still thinks it's in sleep mode.
To fix this issue, I would have to press and hold the power button until the laptop completely turns off, then I would turn it back on again. I could also shine a light at the screen and use my keyboard to open the start menu, then navigate to the power options, then select "Shut down".
Can someone please tell me why this issue started happening out of nowhere, what's causing this issue to occur, and please help me fix this issue? Thanks!

Run the Armory Crate Uninstall Tool, which is currently known to be a conflicting AC and Windows settings issue. Also, temporarily disable hibernation and fastboot. If the issue is resolved, revert the settings back. Also, make sure you have the correct Raptor Lake chipset version installed. One of the revisions, 10.1.49.7, was experiencing issues with waking from sleep. However, 10.1.49.6 or 10.1.49.9 are good.

So how should I go about doing all of that?

I'd love to tell you to just do a cloud recovery and disable all Windows updates... but unfortunately, even that's not a solution; bugs and errors can appear at any time. I'm a fellow user of this device and am completely shocked by the number of errors after ~2.5 years of use. My laptop was perfect, but since BIOS updates started rolling in and the driver quality has gotten worse, I've been running into a ton of problems that take months to resolve!
