Don't hate on me as this is a non gaming question.
I have just purchased a ASUS ROG Strix G16 G614PM-RV007W AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX 16" WUXGA 16GB RAM 1TB SSD RTX 5060
and I will be using it for multimeda creation and general office applications only.
I was recomended this laptop by a UK gaming PC/Laptop company who I have purchased from before.
What I will be doing is installing the EU version of Windows 11 pro which allows us by law to uninstall the bloatware and Edge, Recall, widgets, adverts so it basicly a clean and fairly lean Windows 11 Pro.
I have done the same thing with an MSI Raider which is my studio DAW and I removed all of the MSI gaming drivers and software but kept all of the system drivers and some of the essential MSI software but there isn't much that I kept. Tt is rock solid for audio production and just flys, never an issue. However, it is a bit of a beast for power usage and for what I wanted as an everyday but powerful laptop another one was out of my price range.
So that is why the Rog Strix was recomended and it was half the price so its a no brainer.
Before I boot the Rog up for the first time and start the windows install, is there any ASUS Rog software that is a must install, Rog specific drivers to get the best performance but not game related?
I want is as lean as possible?
