Hi, I recently purchased some Kingston Fury pnp 32gb 2x16gb 5600mts cl 40 ram for my Asus G16 strix laptop, but for some reason the laptop doesn’t recognise the new speed and is currently running at 4800mts. I’m slightly confused because I have the latest bios installed, and from what I read apparently the motherboard will recognise the new speed of the ram as soon as its installed but for some reason this laptop isn’t playing ball. Am I doing something wrong? I’ve tried reinstalling the ram a few times But the laptop continues to run at 4800. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yeah the 13650hx on supports up to 4800mts memory and even if it did support higher likethe 13900/13980 series
that ram would only run at 5200 because its not single sided memory

In the G16 (2023) G14JI laptop with i9-13980HX CPU, the listed Kingston Fury modules run at a nominal speed of 5600 MT/s.

if the ram is single sided then yes it will
the images looked dual sided but yeah
