ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513 Touchpad Issue

I recently got a G15 and it's great apart from one annoying issue... the touchpad randomly stops working for no reason.

Sometimes it works for a while with no problems, and others the mouse pointer will just freeze or disappear for a few seconds, occasionally longer.

Is this a common issue, and is there a fix other than using a wireless or USB mouse?

All software and drivers are up to date.

I have the same exact issue. IT IS ANNOYING. Is there a fix or should i just return this laptop back to microcenter? 

This issue happens every time the laptop is used. Not once in a while. I even tripled the icon size and made it bright red. The only thing that seems to fix it is to hit all the buttons on the mousepad till the curser unlocks and starts moving again. Absoultely love this laptop but its not worth this annoyance. PLEASE HELP ASUS
