Asus ROG STRIX G15 Advanced Edition - Random Shutdowns

Firstly I want to state that I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed that this issue has continued to grieve the owners of this without any follow up from ASUS at all.

The issue I (and many others) are having is as follows:

  • During intensive use, Laptop "Crashes" due to unknown fault.

Things I have tried:

  • Using laptop stand to ensure its not temperature related.
  • Under volting CPU and GPU
  • Using stock RAM or Upgraded RAM
  • Reinstalling recommended drivers
  • Running MYASUS scan

So Far none of these have fixed the issue so now I am reaching out for assistance from Asus in order to fix this.

Hi there.

When  you have a crash, do you have a blue screen witrh an error code?

Do you confirm also that you have update all your drivers, Windows included ? What we we can do is configure the device to generate a dump at the next crash to see if we can get something.

To configure Windows to collect a memory dump, follow these steps:

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Select System and Security, then click on System.
  3. Click on Advanced system settings.
  4. In the Advanced tab, find the Startup and Recovery section and click on Settings.
  5. Ensure that either Kernel memory dump or Complete memory dump is selected under Writing Debugging Information.
  6. Restart the computer, and once the next crash will happen, a dump will be generated in the C: drive
