Sometimes, this laptop misses my keystrokes for no apparent reason, doesn't matter if it's a letter or spacebar or special character. It can drop while gaming or typing and it's really annoying when it drops an input in something such as a rhythm game. I've searched a lot online and through reddit posts but none of the solutions I see seem to work. Do I just have to return this laptop? It's honestly a really nice laptop with everything I could want but just this one problem makes it really unusable.
I don't usually notice this for normal typing and different games seem to have different types of drops: rhythm games may randomly not register inputs, cs2 and some shooters seem to drop a/d keys (even when held down), and other games (such as dbd) don't drop anything.

Is this some kind of weird software problem? I had a Zephyrus g15 before which had absolutely no issue, but that was a laptop running W10. Does anyone have a working solution for this?

I have the exact same problem. I have a ROG Strix G16 (G614JV) and sometimes it misses key presses. It drives me crazy since whenever it happens I fire up a keyboard typing test and at first it still misses some keys, but then gradually fixes itself.
I tried reinstalling keyboard drivers, a fresh install with and without ASUS drivers to no avail. Updated to the latest BIOS and keyboard firmware and it still happens, mostly in games, web browsers and rhythm games.
There is no specific key that is failing, it just happens randomly. I can't RMA the laptop since it is not sold in my country... Hope it's something solvable.
