ASUS ROG GL703GS and installing an SSD instead of HDD

Does anybody have an experience with using an SSD instead of HDD in Asus GL703GS? According to the documentation, only SSHDs or HDDs up to 1 TB (SATA III) are officially recommended for using in the HDD bay (I already use M.2 slot - so that is not an option for me). I am just wondering if it possible to install for example this SSD: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/860qvo/
