That does appear to be a panel issue, however, if you're up for it, try resetting your bios to factory defaults, then updating your GPU graphics driver. Unless you're on 331, Asus has blocked us from going back to factory defaults for reasons they don't feel they need to explain. If you're not on Bios 331 try to reset to factory, but I must warn you that I don't feel this will help. This looks like a panel issue, if you have warranty my recommendation is to act on it as FAST as possible. They will not be supportive once your warranty has expired. I wish you luck.
