Hello dear esteemed rog users,

my motherboard died during a thermal paste replacement, the replacement is around 450$. I was wondering if I can get a better motherboard/gpu instead of getting the same one, for example ROG GL502VM motherboard will be compatible with my ASUS GL502VT-BSI7N27?

They might look similar, but there is a very high chance that some small details (port placement, screw placement, heatsinks placement) differ very little).
