Nevermind. I updated successfully to 223.

It's easier if you are using Win7, but just tap the 'F2' or 'delete' kay as soon as you power on to get into the 'Main' menu of the bios and see the version.

As a side note, you can press the 'F12' key to momentarily see the bios model in the bottom right-hand corner which also appears when you start the bios flashing process.

If you prefer, you can also run the ASUS Winflash utility inside Windows, but you need to download and load a bios file to see the Winflash interface and bios version.
If you actually plan to flash the bios though, some people feel it's a little safer to use the bios flash utility inside of the bios instead of Winflash inside of Windows.

Thanks for the quick message. I was a bit impatient and had the Bios already flashed. It all went smoothly. Will there be newer version than the V223?

Sincerely yours

What audio driver version do you have or have you?

Is there a new BIOS version than the 223? Has anyone else sometimes have problems with the sound at 223?

Hi, okay, sounds good.
I'm not located at the main office and don't know if a newer bios version will be released, but if you're interested in an unofficial opinion, earlier bios versions usually solve most of the major issues (the latest bios would contain all the earlier fixes, so just use it to get them all), so it's not as likely we will see a newer bios version unless a new issue is discovered.

If any newer bios versions were released though, they may be for more minor problems that you aren't even seeing, so if everything is working okay, I would not take a chance updating the bios unless you have a good reason to (or wait for other people to try it first to find out what they think?).

I've had the 223 File Unzipped and extracted to my 8GB Flash drive, but when I try to install it from the Easy Flash. It states that "Warning!! Model Name doesn't match!! Return to Easy Flash page!!" So I am stuck with nothing to do at the moment. My Launch CSM is Enabled and my Secure Boot Control is Disabled. Any suggestions?

Maybe your getting lucky, 222 and 223 have bricked a lot of notebooks. unless there is something in there you really need your better off to just stay where are. I stayed with 210 and running 8.1 pro MC no issues.

Is Asus going to continue supporting this laptop with newer bios updates?

Sorry to say, but this is a really crappy bios and this laptop could use further updates I hope will continue...

Can you explain to me how 222 of 223 are going to make my NB work better? I haven't seen of hear of any real improvement since 210, and we have seen many post here about bricked NB trying to upgrade to both of these BIOS Versions!!!

For those who had problems updating the BIOS version 223, the solution for me was to disable the Quick Boot and Secure Boot Control features and activate Launch CSM. For me worked.
