ASUS G614JV Ram Upgrade problem

Oblaci17d

Hello, I've recently bought a ASUS G614JV Laptop with 16GB of DDR5 memory,

I've gotten the 32GB kit of Crucial RAM Memory CT2K16G56C46S5 5600MHz 2x16GB but its only showing half installed, 16GB when I log in to Windows. It also says both slots populated.

My processor is Intel i9 14900HX

Is the RAM compatible? I've tried reseating it in the motherboard just in case one of them was not installed properly. Also, I'm unable to flash to a new BIOS version since I already have the latest installed. 3.20

Thanks for any feedback.

Hello,

Do both sticks work fine own their own?

Do both slots work fine on their own?

Hello, I just tried both Ram sticks by themselves. and both slots work fine on their own.

When they're own their own the capacity goes from 16 > 8 in Windows.

Interesting, did you buy from a genuine seller and actually have a 2x16GB kit or 2x8GB kit?

How many chips on the module, should be 8 and only one sided? ( (some memory modules have chips on both sides and check the memory chip part numbers too)

Yes it was bought by the manufacturer's page on Amazon, and it has 8 chips/one sided.

I think at this point I'll have to wait for a new BIOS update to role over or change to a different set of sticks. For some reason these aren't working at full capacity.

Strange.

If it helps, I just upgraded my G16 2024 (G614JVR) to 2x16GB Kingston Fury Impact (KF556S40IBK2-32), the PNP version, not XMP.

Are these the ones you recommend? It says both Intel XMP 3.0 and PNP in the title.

Thank you for helping me, this kit works as 32GB.
