Okay so I'm considering replacing the motherboard on my g15 amd advantage (which doesn't trigger anymore). Besides the hefty initial price tag on it, here are a number of other sunk costs into this thing and 'just buying another laptop' isn't an obvious option at this stage for me. Both repair shops told me that the mobo needs replacing but dropping another 1k into that feels like extortion.
To say that I'm absolutely and utterly appalled at the situation is an understatement given that this laptop is supposed to be premium quality (and that was not my experience throughout). Warranty is not an option as I bought it on release and it's been (about) 4 years now. I have a decade-old MSI gaming laptop that still works flawlessly (for what it is).
In any case. Are the good people on the interwebs aware of motherboard replacement options for this laptop? Does Asus even offer any support? I'm in Europe so I don't know if that complicates things.
