I have an ASUS Rog Strix G16. After reboot it was very slow to connect to wifi. I did a full network reset and it seemed to fix the problem. This involved resetting the firewall settings. Periodically I get a popup when I use a program again for the first time asking for firewall permissions. Armoury socket server is one of those programs. I suspect it is also what was causing the issue as I did not have this issue on any other computer. Therefore when it pops up (has done so twice now) I cancel it.
I have struggled to find much information on this service. What little I did find indicated something about network connections (to be expected) but I am still able to check for updates via armoury crate. Does anyone know what it does, what denying it firewall access is doing, and if I could/should try to remove it? I know armoury crate has many complaints, but I use a lot of its features and so far Im not aware of it causing me other problems, so I dont want to uninstall it yet.

I had the exact same issue and did the exact same thing (network reset, got prompt on reboot for armoury socket server twice) and now I am getting random wifi drops. I just did another reset. No pop up yet for socket server.

I checked firewall permissions and armoury socket server is allowed on both private and public networks.

Hello,
perhaps Windows Defender Memory Isolation / Memory Integrity (on Windows Securiity\hardware Security \ Kernel Isolation \ Memory Integrity); Ai Suite3, Radeon Software, Nvidia drivers, somes benchmarks and tools don't like this fonctionnality, and popus not always visible.
