Another Briked G75

I know there's a lot of post about bricked notebooks who update their BIOS. I'm here just to ask some questions and cry a little. First, my note is stucked in the black screen, but the backlight of keyboard is responsive to Ctrl+Home function, the lights indicators works, so i don't know if this is a full brick.

To the questions. First, the Ctrl+Home+Power combination resets the BIOS defaults or just enter in EZFlash ?
Second, is there any internal batery in G75 ? I opened the HD section and couldn't find anything.
Last, holding the power button ,after removing the battery, clear the CMOS ?

Now the "cry" section. Really, i'm almost giving up to this. I brought the note outside my country (Brazil), and choosed ASUS to not have a headache with problems because i trusted the brand. But now, after less than a month this happens.
If this is a problem with notebooks who were updated with WinFlash (like me), and after so many problems with this, why the WinFlash is still in the downloads sections ?

I'm now waiting for a response of ASUS support center to see if there's any assistence in my country (i don't think so).

1 less client of ASUS.

Sorry if i talked any crap. I'm too frustrated. 1500 dollars in a black box.

Yes, that is no problem. Although, I would prefer trying out this chip from eBay, so as not to start digging around the new mobo.

How on earth did he flash that BIOS ? The file you download from the Asus site is not the complete file that has to be programmed into the bios chip. The bios chip contains bios + firmware. Maybe he dumped the firmware part, merged it with the 223 bios file and then flashed it into the chip with the progammer ?

Belaggio, can you tell us a bit more into detail of what this man did ?

I know where to get the 223 version, just really amazing that this guy only flashed that 6MB file and that it worked. Thanks for contributing with your experience.

If you can, I would really appreciate some more information about what he actually did and if he has a bios file he used (appart from the 223 versio he downloaded form the site), please ask him for that file.

Maybe he just flashed the BIOS from web site without erasing the chip (i don't even know if that is possible).
But if you can get that file from him, you can help tons of people.
I bought the new chip from the vendor that Guido mentioned. Before i solder it to the motherboard i'll use the bus pirate to read the full BIOS. If all works well i can upload the file.

Jihilian, which one did you buy ? Please tell me that you bought the second one I posted, the first one did not work, it was a DUAL SPI chip while the G75 chip is a QUAD SPI, that is the reason why my system did not even showed signs of life with that chip. Maybe it had the right file but the physical chip was deffinitely not the right one.

I bought that second link chip for that USD 28/30 and will be recieving it in about a week or a bit more. When it arrives, I will post results.

The second one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/BIOS-CHIP-ASUS-G75VW-NOTEBOOK-/400456562125?pt=US_Motherboard_Components&has...)
He awnsered that it's already pré programed, just need to replace the old one with this one.
I hope it works.
